Back on the road with the intention of travelling to Seymour for the night. A couple of hours on the road and hello, road works. Why is it we always get to road works just after the water truck has gone through? In this case, the truck dropped plenty of water on a clay surface turning it into a very slippery, sticky surface that caused a few problems for heavily loaded Goldwings. We all survived but each bike had a layer of clay distributed inside the front and rear guards and a couple of inches thick under the motor. After an otherwise uneventful day, we farewelled Simon and Carol, rolled into Seymour and negotiated an accommodation deal that included some truck wash, a washing area and a bucket and hose. While Larry started the bike washing I organised the beer and wine and a social afternoon and night of washing, thirst quenching and relaxation followed.
