Victoria and the Great Ocean Road - Day 11

Tuesday, 30 September 2008: Melbourne.

Bike is still secure and today we spend more time walking around the city and walk down to the Docklands area. For all the hype I find that areas like Docklands and Federation square are not all that impressive. Maybe when something special is on it may be a different case but, to each his own.

Therese spends the afternoon finalising her shopping requirements and a visit to the Victorian Museum saw us get a couple of souvenirs for the kids. To finish our Melbourne days off we headed for Lygon St for dinner and enjoyed the atmosphere of the footpath restaurants. On the way to Lygon St I get a call from Frans, our NSW member and he will be coming to the Christmas Party. I make preliminary arrangements to meet up with him in Nowra or Wollongong later in the week as we pass through.

Now it is time load back up for the run up the east coast and to home on Sunday.
